For over a decade, Tupi celebrated its foundation anniversary with the "Kasadyahan Festival." However, this celebration, while joyous, lacked a distinct identity, often replicating elements from other festivals. The name "Kasadyahan," meaning "merriment" in Visayan, became synonymous with generic festive celebrations, failing to capture Tupi's unique essence and aspirations. Today, the grand opening salvo of the 71st Founding Anniversary and 15th Agten Tufi Festival was successfully held in the town of Tupi, centered on the theme:  "Celebrating together the blessings received.  Unite and rejoice in a town of unity. WoW Tupi. It started with a parade led by the officials of the Municipality of Tupi, headed by Tupi Mayor Romeo S. Tamayo, Vice Mayor Glen C. Hatulan, and the Members of the Municipal Council. Also present were the Heads of Offices, NGOs, GOs, and sixteen barangays in the town led by their respective barangay captains.
